The Songpa Olympic Athletes' Village apartment is an old apartment of nearly 30 years. A multi-family housing complex designed by the architects Woo Kyu-sung and Hwang Il-in, it was completed through a process of recalling the home's history, reminiscing about the past, and playfully reviving and recreating the originally designed circulation. The highlight of this home is the outdoor garden and deck that open out in connection with the first-floor dining room. A curtain wall was applied between the dining room, the deck, and the outdoor garden, and the frame of the exterior curtain wall was made of timber. Each space is organically connected to the others, raising its usefulness as a flexible, adaptable space.
