Midbar at Home The building was designed to reflect the shape of the site as much as possible — a courtyard-type house in which the kitchen and living room are fully separated. The main entrance is placed between the two masses of the living room and kitchen so that one enters the building through it, and the courtyard is the building's central space. In the initial plan both the first and second floors were residential, but a later remodelling changed the first floor into commercial space and the second floor into residential space. The first-floor living room was transformed into a space where guests drink coffee and clothing is sold, and the kitchen into a space for making bakery goods and coffee.
